Notice of possible election
The parish council has two vacant seats in the Dodderhill ward.
The seats can be filled either by election or by co-option. If there are more than two candidates wishing to take on the role of parish councillor, the vacancies will be filled by the process of holding an election. The election process is managed by Wychavon District Council (WDC). If you would like to stand as a candidate for the rest of this term until the next full elections in May 2027, please obtain the nomination papers from WDC – see point 1 below. The nomination papers must be returned to WDC, in person, before 4pm on Friday 15th October – see point 2 below.

Official notice from Wychavon District Council:
- Nomination papers for prospective candidates may be obtained from the offices of the Returning Officer, Civic Centre, Queen Elizabeth Drive, Pershore, Worcs, WR10 1PT, or by email or phone 01386 565437.
- Nomination papers must be delivered by hand to the Returning Officer or nominated Deputies at The Elections Office, Civic Centre, Queen Elizabeth Drive, Pershore, Worcs, WR10 1PT on any day after the date of this notice, on Monday to Friday 10a.m. to 4p.m. (excluding bank holidays) but no later than 4 pm on Friday 25th October 2024. Please make an appointment by calling 01386 565437.
- If the election is contested, the poll will take place on Thursday 21st November 2024.
- Applications to register to vote must reach the Electoral Registration Officer by 12 midnight on Tuesday 5 November 2024. Applications can be made online: https://www.gov.uk/register-to-vote
- Applications, amendments or cancellations of postal votes and amendments or cancellations of proxy votes must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at Civic Centre, Queen Elizabeth Drive, Pershore, Worcs, WR10 1PT by 5 pm on Wednesday, 6th November 2024. Applications can be made online at https://www.gov.uk/apply-postal-vote
- Applications for a Voter Authority Certificate or an Anonymous Elector’s Document valid for this election must reach the Electoral Registration Officer by 5pm on Wednesday 13 November 2024. Applications can be made online: https://www.gov.uk/apply-for-photo-id-voter-authority-certificate
- New applications to vote by proxy at this election must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at Civic Centre, Queen Elizabeth Drive, Pershore, Worcs, WR10 1PT by 5 pm on Wednesday, 13th November 2024. Some applications can be made online at https://www.gov.uk/apply-proxy-vote
