M5 J5 access closures night times week starting 04/09/2024
National Highways have news of upcoming work along the M5.
The current lighting is to be upgraded to LEDs around M5 junction 5. The new LED lighting will be more energy efficient and require less maintenance in the future.
Work will be carried out overnight between 8pm and 5am, Monday to Friday from Wednesday 4 to Tuesday 10 September 2024.
To maintain safety, a full closure of the M5 junction 5 north and southbound exit slips will be installed PLUS total closures at Roman Road, Amphlett Way, Stoke Road and Worcester Road. During closures, fully signed diversion routes will be in place, as attached.
Access for frontages and emergency service vehicles will be maintained throughout.
Every effort will be taken to ensure the impact on the local community and travelling public is kept to a minimum. Even though there is a programme, unforeseen circumstances or adverse weather conditions may mean changes.
