Wychbold Residents’ Bulletin No6 from M5 Junction 5 scheme
Here is the latest update about the closure of M5 Junction 5, and how it will affect the residents of Wychbold.
Essential maintenance work is being carried out on the A38/M5 J5 roundabout which will take place from Monday to Friday from 12 February 2024 to March 2024 and to reduce disruption to our area, the work will be carried out at night between 9pm and 6am.
Update on Works
The project is now entering the final stages.
The re-surfacing work is now finished which has meant changes to the access points during the last week.
Line painting is being finalised with further vegetation clearance and smartening up of the location.
Final checks are to be completed prior to the full re opening in the coming week.
Again, the contractors apologise for any inconvenience that these works may have caused and ask us to please be patient with them. They will reply to you as soon as possible if you report any issues. Details of the diversions can be found on the webpage.

Access for emergency service vehicles and for residents of Amphlett Way will be maintained throughout. However, to maintain safety, access into and out of Amphlett Way will be with an
escort vehicle. Please pull up at the closure point and the Traffic Management staff will assist you.
