Shaw Lane various roadworks

County Highways department has notified two significant road-work impacts to traffic using Shaw Lane in August.

The first is likely to start on Thursday 1st August whilst Network Rail attend to bridgeworks. The road will be closed (expect for access) overnight ie between 10pm – 6am for two nights. This affects Shaw Lane between its junction with Church Lane to its junction with Astwood Lane. A map showing the diversion route is attached as a pdf titled ‘Shaw Lane STO-129’.

The second set of road works is set to start on Monday 5th August to allow for Cadent Gas new customer connection. This time Shaw Lane will be closed (except for access) between its junction with Greenside to its junction with Westonhall Road. The work is expected to take 5 days.
