New Charitable Incorporated Organisation for Wychbold Village Hall
Dodderhill Parish Council have signed a 35 year lease after voting to support the formation of a CIO (Charitable Incorporated Organisation) for Wychbold Village Hall. The new CIO will be known as Dodderhill Parish Community Hall.
The formation of the CIO was a condition set by Wychavon District Council in order to release the Home Bonus grant funding which was essential to refurbish the hall.
The Parish Council have taken on board the requests by the parishioners of Dodderhill through their survey responses and the new CIO will work towards the hall becoming more of a community hub for events and support. Requests to have cafe facilities up at the hall and the toilets available for park users have been listened to and incorporated in the refurbishment design along with a Community Library which was donated to the community by Chadwick Forrester Building Services.
The rebranding of the hall will take place in due course. The committee members of Wychbold Village Hall Charity, who formerly managed the hall back in 2019, will be approached by the new CIO with an invitation to be involved under the new charity.
A more detailed newsletter is being prepared for the community and will be available shortly.
Dodderhill Parish Council would like to thank the following companies for all their assistance and professional approach during the village hall refurbishment:
- Chadwick Forester Building Services,
- Droitwich Roofing and Building Specialist Ltd,
- Access and Vision.
