National Highways M5 Essential Work

M5 Maintenance Work – Junctions 3 to 4a (18-29 November 2024) – National Highways
Essential maintenance will take place on the M5 between junctions 3 and 4a, including drainage work, safety barrier repairs, litter picking, and vegetation clearance. The vegetation clearance will be kept to a minimum, removing vegetation essential to maintain the safety of road users.
Key info:
  • Vegetation clearance: Removing hazardous trees near safety barriers & the carriageway.
  • Work timings: Overnight, 9pm – 6am, from 18 Nov to 29 Nov, Monday to Friday.

Closures:

  • 18-22 Nov: M5 southbound, J3-J4a (No access to Moto Frankley Southbound Services)
  • 25-29 Nov: M5 northbound, J4a-J3 (No access to Moto Frankley Northbound Services)
What to expect:
  • Signed diversion routes will be in place.
  • Emergency vehicle access will remain.
  • Some noise expected during work hours, but it will be managed the best as it can be.
