Highways England M5 junction 5, A38 roundabouts road markings- Letter for Parishioners information.

Re: M5 junction 5, A38 roundabouts road markings

I’m writing to inform you of some upcoming maintenance works on the M5 near Droitwich Spa. This work will be carried out by our contractor, Kier, on our behalf.

What we’re doing and why? What are the benefits? We’ll be repainting the road markings and replacing the road studs on the M5 junction 5, A38 roundabouts. The work has been identified as the road markings are faded and not clearly visible in places. The completed work will make the road safer through clearer markings and road studs for road users. This will also reduce the need for future maintenance.

When will this work take place? This work will be carried out from 27 July to 6 August, Monday to Friday, 9pm to 6am.

What does this mean for you? During closures, we’ll provide a fully signed diversion. For further details, including information surrounding our diversions, please see our website https://highwaysengland.co.uk/roads. Emergency vehicles will have access through the work. I’d also like to apologise in advance for any inconvenience or disruption to those living close to the work. We’ll make every effort to carefully manage noise levels and additional lighting to minimise the impact.

We’re following the latest government guidelines and will incorporate any new measures, including social distancing guidance, into our safe workplace planning. All our sites have strict safeguarding measures to prevent the spread of COVID19 and none of our sites are open to the public. All major construction projects are closely monitored, and the situation is kept under constant review.
