Dodderhill Parish Council have appointed a new Parish Clerk following the departure of David Hunter-Miller. The Parish Council are very grateful to David for the hard work and dedication he has shown to the Council during his time as Clerk and would like to wish him well for the future.
The new Clerk is Nick Farress who was chosen following interviews held on Friday 11th January 2019.

The Parish Council is looking to produce a Neighbourhood Development Plan. This is a statutory document that will set out a vision for the future of the parish, along with policies on:
where development should go
what sort of facilities need to be provided
what improvements are needed in the area
The aim is to make the parish a better place to live, work and visit.
A Steering Group is being formed to develop the plan with representatives from across the parish and consisting of both parish councillors and members of the public.

Clerk to the Council/Responsible Financial Officer
The Parish Council is seeking to appoint a Clerk to the Council/Responsible Financial Officer with a high level of professionalism and organisational skills. The applicant will be an excellent communicator who can work well both within a team and on their own.
The Council is seeking someone who preferably has previous experience working as a Parish Clerk/RFO and has knowledge of local government, although training can be provided. The applicant will be CiLCA qualified (or willing to obtain the qualification within 12 months of appointment) and computer literate.
This is a part time position for 18 hours per week, working from home with attendance at monthly meetings and as required. Additional hours are offered for the first 12 months to cover work on a number of high profile S106 and grant funded projects.
Remuneration is based on the national pay scale SCP 28 – 32 (£25,463 – £29,055 pro rata), dependent upon qualifications and experience.
Membership to the Local Government Pension Scheme is offered with this position.

The Parish Council is holding its Annual Meeting of the Council at 7PM on Tuesday 8th May and the Annual Parish Meeting at 7PM on Tuesday 15th May 2018.
The Annual Meeting of the Council is where we elect a chairman and review policies and procedures.
The Annual Parish Meeting is not a formal council meeting but a meeting of the parish electors. The Parish Council invite the public and press to hear reports from the Chairman, District and County Councillors, the Police and neighbourhood groups. It also enables electors to have their say on anything they consider is important to the people of the Parish.

This site has previously been granted planning permission for 36 dwellings (Council ref. W/11/02571/OU, PINS ref. APP/H1840/A/12/2171973, Reserved Matters approval W/13/00618/RM). This consent has since lapsed.

In October 2017 Worcestershire Regulatory Services conducted an assessment of nitrogen dioxide levels in the area. The assessment was based on monitoring data and a detailed dispersion model. The assessment concluded that the Annual Mean Objective for Nitrogen Dioxide is being exceeded and is likely to continue to be exceeded.
As part of their Local Air Quality Management responsibilities Worcestershire Regulatory Services are consulting the views of local residents.
